挟着首张专辑Trouble双白金销量的余威，塞内加尔歌手Akon的第二张专辑Konvicted在年末这个黄金时段隆重登场。其实此前两支单曲“I Wanna Love You”及“Smack That”在billboard hot100上大放异彩，早就奠定了这张专辑大热趋势的基调。不可否认这两支单曲是沾了Hip-hop大腕儿级人物Snoopy Dogg和Eminem的光，但Akon自身实力也不可小觑。而同时在billboard单曲榜上包揽冠亚军的“壮举”，最近一次还要追溯到04年Usher那张神奇专辑“Confessions ”两支大热单曲——Yeah！和Burn。

而Konvicted甫一上榜就来到专辑榜的第2位成绩，成功绝非偶然。这张由Akon亲自制作的专辑包容了很多元素，比如前面提到的hip-hop曲风的I Wanna Love You(原本是I Wanna Fxxx You，后来为了宣传改名)、Smack That，还有上张专辑热门单曲Locked Up合作者——好友Styles P跨刀相助的Blown Away；非洲舞曲风格的Mama Africa；街头叙事风格的Gangsta Bop；当然最主要的还是他拿手的R&B情歌，无论是抒情慢板The Rain，至诚感人的Never Took The Time，甚至励志之作Once in A While等都是此张专辑不可不听的佳作，无论Akon的创作能力及演唱水平都在这张专辑里淋漓展现。而Akon丝毫不掩饰自己坐牢的经历，专辑名称乾脆就叫做“Konvicted(Convicted被艺术化处理)”,看来那些在街头和监狱中混沉度日的经历如今已是Akon的昨日回忆，就从目前这两张专辑所取得的成功来看，浪子回头的故事又会将多一个实际的例子。
